Have we ever considered running a stat counter? I came across the below after seeing a Joint Ops stat website for some other squad.

It looks pretty cool.
Th
oughts?March 15, 2008 at 4:51 am #489We had one for a very long time, but then dropped it when the mods came out due to conflicts or something like that.
March 16, 2008 at 5:23 pm #490When we tracked stats it also became to much of a competition.
I got more kills than you you had less deaths than I then before you know it. There were maps made with just a whole bunch of guys in penned up areas to just slaughter them and raise stats. :miniOne thing leads to another and everyone is playing for their own agenda, no teamwork, anarchy ensues, cats and dogs living together it was just horrible. :willy
So my personal input is to stay away from stat tracking. :comp
March 16, 2008 at 5:37 pm #491I agree with Bones
March 16, 2008 at 7:09 pm #492Oh yeah, there was that too :roll
March 17, 2008 at 11:45 pm #493Ok, the main reason unlike what the others say is.
Everytime there is a update to JO or any mods the stats stop working. The stats guys have to write new code for the updated game and it takes time if it ever comes out? It's alot of work for me to keep tabs on what's what on it.
For example the link you provided would not work as we play JO IC mod and that was only for JO. We would need a version for JO IC mod and the version we play.
Sonce the updates have slowed, if someone can find the correct version, I can look into it.
:boo
March 19, 2008 at 1:51 am #494No one seems interested, so I would say don't bother Fu. Just come back to playing.

I would be all for it. Never hurts to see how bad I suck! Or how many times Wiley has commited suicide.
What about Babstats? I have been on a ton of IC servers running it.
Here is one link I came accross for it.

WTF? We already had a blow out with you quiting due to the fact you only play for fun and are not interested in the competitive side….
:willy :banghead :willy
March 20, 2008 at 2:53 am #497Lets just make it a lot easier. SHOCK YOU DONT SUCK YOU REALLLLLLY SUCK!
There now we don't need stats to see how bad you are.
Sounds like the team majority is against it so lets just work on teamwork.p.s Just messn with you bud. But seriously I say no to stats.

FU, I was being sarcastic. Thats why I said “how bad I suck or when Wiley kills himself”. That stuff has no bragging rights of any kind. Well…maybe for Wiley it does.
I was just giving a link for one that might work should you decide. It actually tracks anyone who plays on the server not just our team.
I'm cool either way. Not something I must absolutly have or something I will loose sleep over if we don't intigrate it.
March 20, 2008 at 8:22 pm #499I enjoyed the stats, but it really did make it a compitition. So I can understand why we would want to bypass it.
March 20, 2008 at 10:27 pm #500Is there a way to only track certain things? Like knife kills, med revivals, assists? Things that would encourage us to play as a team? (okay knife kills doesn't help us play as a team) But what about less competitive, or sillier stats like deaths or shots per kill or friendly fire?
Are the trackers configurable that way?
March 20, 2008 at 11:56 pm #501Don't know, but that is a good question. Fubar?

He he he. That would be cool. Then we could give out badges for…
“most likely to be shot by team member”
“most likely to shoot team members”
“most likely to not handle explosives or firearms” aka “suicides”:p
